How KCODI works, and who pays for it
KCODI is run by Afformation Inc. in Gangnam, Seoul. We book clinics the way Korean patients do and send a medical interpreter with you. Clinics pay our fee, so patients pay nothing.
- 01
Why clinics pay us, not you
Korean clinics spend heavily to reach overseas patients. When we bring a patient who is already informed and arrives with an interpreter, the clinic saves that cost and pays us a coordination fee. Your quote stays at the rate agreed with the clinic.
- 02
What the interpreter does
She translates the consultation word for word, including the parts a sales coordinator might skip: risks, revision policy, what the price excludes. On surgery day she stays from check-in to discharge and sends your aftercare instructions in writing.
- 03
What we don't do
We don't diagnose, recommend a surgery you didn't ask about, or take payment for treatment. The clinic treats and bills you. We never show before-and-after promises, because results differ by person.
- 04
If something goes wrong
Your interpreter stays reachable after you fly home and relays your messages to the clinic. Korea also runs the Medical Korea Support Center (+82-1577-7129) and the K-MEDI mediation agency for foreign patients.
