A hair transplant in Korea, with your graft count known before you fly

A hair transplant in Korea is priced mostly by graft count, so that number is the first thing to pin down. Send us photos of your hairline, crown and donor area. KCODI gets estimates from Korean hair clinics, books your FUE hair transplant or female hairline transplant at the local rate, and assigns an interpreter for the whole surgery day. It is a long one: four to eight hours in the chair.

  • Graft estimate from your photos, before you fly
  • Interpreter for the full 4–8 hour surgery day, free
  • Local rate per graft, in writing

Why book a Korean hair transplant through KCODI

  1. 01

An interpreter who knows graft talk

Grafts versus hairs, donor density, hairline design. She makes sure you and the surgeon mean the same number.

  2. 02

She stays for the whole day

Hairline drawing in the morning, breaks, lunch, the last graft in the afternoon. You are awake under local anesthesia, and she passes on anything you need.

  3. 03

    Local rate, counted per graft

Your quote states the graft count, the price per graft, shaven or non-shaven method, and what happens if the final count differs from the estimate.

  4. 04

    The first three nights, planned

A hotel near the clinic, a neck pillow for sleeping upright, and your first hair wash booked at the clinic instead of over a hotel sink.

  • A name and a face before you fly

Your stay in Seoul after a hair transplant

Your stay in Seoul after a hair transplant

Plan 3 to 5 days. Day one is surgery. The next day you return for a check and your first wash, and the clinic shows you how to do it yourself. After that you can walk around Seoul, gently. Swelling can drift down to the forehead around day three. It looks alarming and it passes.

  • Wear a button-up shirt on surgery day, and ask the clinic which cap is safe for the flight.
  • Sleep on your back with your head raised for the first nights. Don't touch or scratch the grafts.
  • No gym, sauna, alcohol or smoking for the period your surgeon sets, usually one to two weeks.
  • Non-shaven FUE hides the donor area sooner but takes longer and costs more. Ask if it suits your count.

Doing more than one thing on this trip?

Skin treatments usually fit around a surgery consultation, and a checkup takes half a day. Tell us everything on your list and we put it in one schedule, with one interpreter.

Questions patients ask us

How much does a hair transplant cost in Korea?
Mostly graft count times the price per graft, plus the method: non-shaven FUE costs more than shaven. The typical Seoul range is listed above. Through KCODI you pay the local rate, with the count and the per-graft price in writing.
Hair transplant in Korea vs Turkey: what is the difference?
Turkey is known for large-session packages that bundle hotel and transfers. Korean clinics usually price per graft, plan smaller and denser sessions, and put weight on hairline design, which is one reason women come here for hairline work. Compare who does each step, the graft count and the aftercare, not only the headline price.
Can FUE in Korea be done without shaving my head?
Many Korean clinics offer non-shaven or partly shaven FUE, where only hidden strips of the donor area are trimmed. It suits smaller graft counts. The surgeon tells you whether it works for yours.
How long until I see results?
Transplanted hairs shed within the first month or so, regrow from about month three or four, and thicken through month twelve. Your interpreter relays your progress photos to the clinic if you want the surgeon's view along the way.
Do women get hair transplants in Korea?
Yes. Lowering the hairline and rounding the corners of the forehead are common requests at Korean clinics. See female hairline transplant.
