How to read clinic reviews at all
Reviews of Korean clinics are unusually hard to read, because the market for written promotion is large and the incentives are obvious. A few signals help.
- Reviews that mention a specific consultation detail are more credible than reviews about atmosphere and staff kindness.
- A cluster of identically structured posts within a short window is a campaign, not a coincidence.
- Reviews that never mention swelling, pain or the second week are describing marketing, not surgery.
- Negative reviews that describe a process failure are more informative than either extreme of the rating scale.
- Photographs prove lighting and angle, not outcome.
The more useful exercise is comparing two written quotes for the same named procedure in the same week. That comparison tells you more about a clinic than a hundred reviews do.
