Circle clinic Seoul: what the Cheongdam site states before you book a lifting session
Written by KCODI medical interpreter team · English deskUpdated · 8 min read
People searching circle clinic seoul are usually choosing between two or three Cheongdam addresses for the same treatment, and the pages all look similar. The differences that matter are not on the pages.
Here is what the clinic states on its own site, what a device name does and does not tell you, six things to confirm before booking at any Korean skin clinic, and how to hold a second itemised quote for the same session.
KCODI is a booking and medical-interpretation service. We are not affiliated with this clinic and take no position on it.
What the official site states
The Korean name given is 청담서클의원. The site lists addresses on Dosan-daero 57-gil in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, with a main floor and an annexe floor at two adjacent numbers, which is worth noting because the two are not the same entrance.
Treatment categories on the site include lifting, fat dissolving, skin clinics, skin boosters, volume, acne and scarring and pores, pigmentation and redness, and body treatments. Named items include Ulthera, Silhouette Soft threads, Hydrafacial, Skinlab and Skin Perfusion. The site offers English, Japanese and Chinese versions and lists WeChat, WhatsApp and LINE among its contact options. No foreign-patient registration statement appeared on the pages checked, which is a question to ask rather than a conclusion to draw. All of this is the clinic's own presentation as of the date checked above.
What thread lifting actually does to the tissue, and how long the effect is usually described as lasting, is on our thread lift page; the energy-device alternatives sit on the laser and ultrasound lifting page.
A device name is half the information
Skin clinic marketing runs on brand names because brand names are easy to compare. The part that decides your result is the part nobody advertises: how much of it you get, and at what settings.
- Get the device or product name, the exact amount, and the number of sessions on one line each.
- Ask what the package excludes: numbing cream, aftercare products, follow-up visits, anything sold at the desk afterwards.
- Ask who performs the treatment and who is in the room if something stings more than expected.
- Ask what the downtime looks like for your skin type, and say plainly if you have a flight in two days.
Six things to check before booking any Korean skin clinic
The same six work at every address in Cheongdam and Apgujeong. Our interpreters ask them in Korean during the consultation, which is the moment when answers cost you nothing and carry the most weight.
| Check | How to ask | Why it changes the outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Amount | How many shots, lines or threads, on the quote | The same treatment name can mean very different amounts |
| Who treats you | Doctor or nurse, and who supervises | It varies by clinic and by procedure, and it is a fair question |
| Consumables | Is the cartridge or tip new and single-use | This is about hygiene, not only about results |
| Package terms | What happens to unused sessions if you fly home | Multi-session packages assume you live here; you do not |
| Foreign-patient registration | Is the clinic registered to attract foreign patients | A public record you can check instead of trusting a page |
| Aftercare access | Who answers if the skin reacts badly on day two | A messenger that goes quiet after payment is a real risk abroad |
How to verify that fifth row yourself takes about five minutes; checking a clinic's licence and registration explains where to look.

How to read skin clinic reviews
Skin treatment reviews are written early, because the visit is short and the photograph is taken the same week. That timing is the main reason they mislead.
- Check whether the writer names the amount they received. A review with a brand name but no count is describing a purchase, not a treatment.
- Discount reviews in the first week for lifting work. Swelling can flatter the result before it settles.
- Look for what happened at the second visit. A clinic's real behaviour shows after the money has been paid.
- Read the complaints about communication carefully. If replies were slow in Korean, they will not be faster in your language.
There is also a language layer that English reviews hide. Korean reviews of the same clinic often discuss amounts, settings and who performed the treatment, because Korean patients are used to asking. English reviews more often discuss politeness and decor, because those are the parts a visitor can assess without asking anything. Reading both, or having someone read the Korean side for you, changes the picture more than reading twice as many English ones.
Criteria that hold up better than ratings are collected in choosing a skin clinic in Seoul as a foreigner, and the shortest version is this: judge a skin clinic on what it writes down for you, not on what it shows you.
Get the same session quoted twice
Once the amount is written down, a second quote becomes meaningful, because you are finally comparing the same thing rather than two brand names.
If you are not sure which treatment fits what is actually bothering you, clinic matching sorts it in about two minutes, and the interpreters page shows who would be with you.
The day of, and the week after
Skin work in Seoul is easy to book and easy to underestimate. The week after is where a trip either stays pleasant or turns into a hotel room with an ice pack.
- Do not book lifting work within two days of a flight, and say your flight date out loud at the consultation.
- Ask what is normal for the first forty-eight hours, and what is not normal, in specific words rather than reassurance.
- Get aftercare instructions in a language you read, photographed or messaged, not explained once at the desk.
- Keep the product boxes or stickers if any injectable was used. Your doctor at home may want to know exactly what went in.
- Save the clinic's messenger contact and ask who answers it at night before you need to find out.
Sunscreen and heat matter more than most visitors expect after energy devices. Ask specifically about saunas, jjimjilbang and hot spring plans, because those are usually the plans people forget to mention.
