Checks that apply at any Korean dental clinic
- Is the institution registered to treat foreign patients? We explain how to search the register in checking a clinic licence.
- Will the dentist you consult be the one who treats you, and who makes the ceramics?
- How many appointments, and across how many days? Laboratory work cannot be compressed.
- What is in the written quote: the examination, the X-ray or scan, the temporaries, the final restorations per tooth, and the review visits.
- What is the warranty or remake policy, in writing, and what would you pay for a remake?
- Will you get your X-rays and scan files to take home for your own dentist?
The number of appointments is the one that ruins trips. A veneer case is not a same-day procedure for most people, and the temporaries stage sits between two visits.
Reading dental reviews from Korea
- Check how long after the work the review was written. Veneers look their best on the day they are bonded; the useful review is at year three.
- Check whether the writer says how much tooth was prepared. Without that, two reviews are not describing the same treatment.
- Be careful with before-and-after photographs shot under different light and with different lip retraction.
- Treat posts with discount codes or referral links as advertising, disclosed or not.
- Prefer checkable facts: registration, the appointment schedule, the per-tooth quote, the remake policy.
