Rejuran in Korea: what one session on your trip can and cannot do

Rejuran in Korea costs less per session than in most countries it is exported to, because this is where it is made. It is a polynucleotide gel derived from salmon DNA, injected in tiny amounts across the face to improve texture, fine lines and that tired look. One session takes thirty to forty minutes with numbing cream. Here is the honest part: the standard course is three sessions a few weeks apart. One trip gives you one session, and a plan for the rest.

  • Priced per session. The usual course is about three sessions, two to four weeks apart.
  • It stings more than botox. Numbing cream is standard, and some clinics offer stronger pain control at extra cost.

  1. Choosing the product

    Rejuran, Rejuran HB, Juvelook, hyaluronic acid boosters: the menu is long. She translates what the doctor recommends for your skin and why, and what each costs.

  2. In the treatment room

    She tells the doctor if the pain is too much, so they can pause, re-numb or switch technique. You do not have to grit your teeth in silence.

  3. After the session

    She sends aftercare in English and helps you plan session two: on your next trip, or with a note for your doctor at home.

Typical price in Seoul

The figure on this page is per session. It moves with the product, the volume injected (2 cc is a common full-face amount) and whether the doctor injects by hand. Packages for three sessions are cheaper per session, but only make sense if you will be back in Korea. Ask for the single-session price first.

  • Your skin looks dull, thin or finely lined, and creams have stopped making a difference
  • You have enlarged pores or shallow acne marks and want overall texture to improve

Questions patients ask us

Is one Rejuran session worth it if I am only visiting once?
One session gives a modest improvement in hydration and texture that builds over about four weeks. The fuller effect comes from the course. If you cannot return, ask the doctor whether another treatment, such as laser lifting, fits a single visit better.
How painful is Rejuran?
It is known as one of the more uncomfortable injectables, because there are many injection points and the gel is thick. Numbing cream takes the edge off. Tell your interpreter your pain tolerance so she can ask about extra options.
What is the downtime?
Small raised bumps for one to three days, sometimes pinpoint bruises for up to a week. Most people go out the next day with a mask. Book it early in your trip, not the day before an event.
What is the difference between Rejuran and Juvelook?
Rejuran is a polynucleotide that supports skin repair. Juvelook combines a collagen-stimulating material with hyaluronic acid and is often chosen for acne scars and volume loss. Doctors sometimes alternate them. Yours will recommend based on your skin.
I am allergic to fish. Can I have it?
Tell the doctor. Rejuran is purified from salmon DNA, and many clinics avoid it in patients with a fish allergy. There are non-fish skin boosters the doctor can suggest instead.
