Mole removal in Korea is so routine that locals book it like a haircut. It is priced per spot, takes ten to thirty minutes with numbing cream, and visitors often clear a dozen small moles in one sitting. The laser vaporises the mole layer by layer. What follows matters more than the laser: small patches on your face for a week or two, and strict sun protection.   1. Before the visit

    She confirms how the clinic prices by size, so the bill matches what you were told. She asks whether a doctor or a nurse performs the laser.

  2. In the room

    You point, the doctor marks. She makes sure every spot you want treated is marked, and that you hear which ones the doctor prefers not to laser and why.

  3. Healing

    She sends patch-changing and cleansing instructions in English. If a spot heals as a dip or the mole returns, she asks the clinic about a touch-up.

Typical price in Seoul

The figure on this page is per spot. Small flat moles sit at the lower end. Large, raised or deep moles cost more and may be removed in two stages to limit scarring. Some clinics price by millimetre. Your interpreter gets the rule in writing before you go.

Questions patients ask us

Will mole removal leave a scar?
Small, shallow moles usually heal to a mark that is hard to find. Deep moles can leave a slight dip or a pale spot. Removing a deep mole in two gentler sessions reduces that risk, and your doctor will suggest it when it applies.
Can I fly the same day or the next?
Yes. There is no restriction on flying. You will have patches on your face, and you need to keep them clean and dry as instructed.
Do moles grow back?
Sometimes, especially deep ones, because a few pigment cells can remain. Many clinics offer a lower-priced touch-up within a set period. Ask about it when you book.
What if a mole looks suspicious?
The doctor will not laser it. A changing, irregular or bleeding mole should be examined and, if needed, removed surgically and sent to a lab. That decision belongs to the doctor, and it is one to respect.
Can I treat freckles and sun spots in the same visit?
Often yes, with a different laser. See pigmentation laser. The doctor decides what can safely be done together.
