Liposuction in Korea, quoted per area before you book a flight

Liposuction in Korea is quoted per area: abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms, chin. That makes it easy to compare, and easy to be upsold. Most cases take one to three hours under sedation, with five to seven days in Seoul and three clinic visits. It removes stubborn fat pockets. It does not replace weight loss, and a careful surgeon will tell you that. Your KCODI interpreter makes sure you hear it in plain English.

  • Priced per area. Count how the clinic defines an area before comparing quotes.
  • Plan 5–7 days, three visits, and a compression garment for several weeks.
  • There is a safe limit to how much fat is removed in one session. Ask your surgeon what theirs is.

What she does on your clinic day

  1. At the consultation

She gets the clinic to define each area on your body with a pen, so the quote matches the marking. She asks about anesthesia, monitoring and who is in the room.

  2. On surgery day

She is there for the marking photos and the consent form, and she is there when you wake up groggy and need to get into the garment and a taxi.

  3. The first week

Leaking from the incision points, bruising, a garment that feels too tight: she tells you what is expected and gets the nurse on the line when it is not.

Stay in Korea

  1. Day 1

    Consultation, marking, tests

Pinch test or ultrasound of the fat layer, blood tests, written quote per area.

  2. Day 2

    Surgery

One to three hours under sedation, depending on areas. You go back to the hotel the same day in a compression garment.

  3. Day 3–4

    Check and dressing change

Fluid leaks from the small incisions for a day or two. Walking is encouraged from day 1.

  4. Day 6–7

    Stitches out

The surgeon checks for fluid build-up and clears you to fly. On the plane, walk the aisle and drink water.

The figure on this page is per area. Larger areas such as the abdomen or full thighs sit higher than arms or chin. Ask what counts as one area, whether the garment, sedation and post-op swelling care are included, and whether a second area is discounted. Your written quote spells this out before any deposit.

  • Your weight is stable and you have pockets that do not respond to diet or training
  • You want contour change in specific areas, not a lower number on the scale
  • You can wear a compression garment under your clothes for weeks, including on the flight home
  • You are willing to split large areas into two sessions if the surgeon advises it

Questions patients ask us

How much is liposuction in Korea?
The estimated range per area is on this page. The total depends on how many areas you treat and how each clinic draws them. We get you itemised quotes at the local partner rate so you can compare like with like.
How many areas can be done in one session?
It depends on the volume, not the number of areas. Surgeons limit how much fat they remove at once because large volumes raise the risk of complications. If your plan is big, expect a recommendation to stage it.
When can I fly after liposuction?
Most surgeons clear patients around day 5–7, after stitch removal. Long flights after surgery carry a clot risk, so you will be told to walk, hydrate and wear the garment. Tell the surgeon your flight length.
Is Korean non-surgical liposuction the same thing?
No. What clinics sell as non-surgical liposuction is usually Korean fat dissolving injections or a cooling or ultrasound device. These are skin-clinic treatments with smaller, slower effects. They suit a double chin or a small pocket, need several sessions, and do not remove the volume surgery does. Ask what is in the injection, because many clinic mixes are in-house blends. Your interpreter can book a dermatology consultation alongside, so you hear both options.
Will the result be even?
Early on, the area feels lumpy and looks uneven because of swelling. It smooths over three to six months with the garment and massage care the clinic advises. Unevenness that remains after that is something to raise with your surgeon.
