Korean eyelid surgery: choose your crease in your own words
Korean eyelid surgery is the operation Seoul surgeons perform most, and it is short: thirty to sixty minutes under sedation, with five to seven days in the city. The decision that matters happens before that, at the mirror, when the surgeon draws the crease with a thin probe. In-fold or out-fold, low or high, with or without ptosis correction. What she does on your clinic day
At the mirror
When the surgeon simulates the crease, she translates every option: height, in-fold or out-fold, how it looks with eyes closed. She writes the agreed numbers down.
On surgery day
You are asked to open and close your eyes during surgery so the surgeon can check symmetry. She has explained this to you in advance, so nothing surprises you under sedation.
Until stitch removal
She sends you the icing schedule and tells you which swelling is normal. She books stitch removal around your flight.

Day 1
Consultation and crease design
The surgeon examines lid thickness, fat and muscle strength. Many patients have surgery the same day or the next.
Day 1–2
Surgery
Thirty to sixty minutes under sedation with local anesthesia. You walk out with ice packs and sunglasses.
Day 2–4
Icing, then warmth
Swelling and bruising peak around day 2–3. Sleep with your head raised and skip salty food.
Day 5–7
Stitches out
For the incisional method. Non-incisional cases often have nothing to remove but still get a check before flying.
Typical price in Seoul
Non-incisional surgery sits at the lower end of the range. Incisional surgery, ptosis correction, epicanthoplasty or lateral canthoplasty move it up. Ask whether the quote includes sedation, medication and the follow-up visits. If your main concern is puffiness below the eye, look at under-eye fat repositioning instead.
